More than 100 international bouldering enthusiasts will descend on Sheffield at the start of next month to compete in the IFSC Bouldering World Cup. The event will take place at Millhouses Park on the 3rd and 4th of July, hot on the heels of the British Bouldering Championships (BBCs).

The World Cup is just one of the activities taking place at Cliffhanger, the UK's biggest event for outdoorsy types. Others will include climbing, kayaking, orienteering, caving, fell running, adventure racing, mountain biking, kite flying, angling and slacklining. If your taste runs to tropical sports, there will even be an event for scuba diving enthusiasts.

Cliffhanger has proved a hit among outdoor-lovers in previous years, with 100% of previous attendees saying that they would return. This year, the festivities will be boosted by the addition of the "Big Shakeout", a camp on the edge of Sheffield run by event supporters Alpkit. Facilities will include communal barbecues, a makeshift cinema, and most importantly a licensed bar. With the Peak District just minutes away, campers will have the chance to go cycling and hiking in between taking part in the organised fun.

Tickets are £15 for adults, while kids under 16 go free check out http://www.cliff-hanger.co.uk/  for more information.
