Country Walking’s November issue gives you a ringside seat for the ferocious battles that take place this month in Britain’s countryside, as mighty stags go head to head in antler-locking combat. Their prize is a harem of does, but before the stags get to mate they have to fight off all-comers and establish their dominance.

Cue roaring, head banging and full-blooded charges.
