Balega is the latest sock brand to make it to the UK from over the Atlantic.
The All Out Trail sock (£11) will hit shops this April and it comes all the way from South Africa. Balega is a Zulu word that means ³To move with speed.² And in these, you certainly should be able to walk or run as fast as you like because these high performance socks are made from the famously anti-sweaty, anti-smelling Merino wool.
This is mixed with acrylic fibres and Mohair to create a stretchy, durable sock that wicks moisture away quickly and keeps your feet cool in summer, warm in winter. . All Balega socks have a seamless toe to stop abrasion across the top of the foot, and an extra deep heel pocket to make sure your socks don¹t make a beeline for your toes on the trail.
