New ViewRanger map bundles for popular trails

Great news for walkers doing the Wainwright’s Coast to Coast or The Pennine Way this spring: ViewRanger [link to www.viewranger.com] have packaged all the maps you need into one handy £60 bundle in their new Great Trails series.
ViewRanger uses OS Explorer (1:25,000 scale) mapping and is compatible with a wide range of mobile phones and PDAs and uses either their inbuilt GPS or a connected Bluetooth receiver to show your location, speed and distance travelled.
It also features their BuddyBeacon, where you can see the positions of your fellow-walkers if you get split up, plus friends and family at home can also see your location via a secure web portal.
