Celebrate the 20 greatest walks in the Lake District with a magnificent trip up Hay Stacks - the favourite fell (and final resting place) of the greatest fellwalker of them all, Alfred Wainwright.

The new issue of Country Walking explores the very best hills, valleys and lakes in this unique and special national park, from the majesty of Scafell Pike and Helvellyn to the quieter corners of High Street and Buttermere.

To give you a taste, we recorded our trip up Hay Stacks, via the equally spectacular Fleetwith Pike, telling you the story of a man who loved the Lakes, and the glorious scenery of the place he loved the most.
