Online mapping provider Multimap has taken a massive and costly leap by offering free Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 mapping on its site. The draggable, zoomable maps also now feature a dedicated 'Ordnance Survey' button which takes people like us directly to the good stuff. 1:25,000 is the key scale for all outdoor users, showing as it does essential micro-navigational detail like fence lines, walls and outcrops of rocks.
