And its highest point has moved 85ft closer to Italy.
The new height of 15,782ft (4,810m) is 18 inches lower than the recorded height of two years ago.
The snow cover on top of the mountain has also dropped by around a tenth.
Despite these changes Mont Blanc's summit is still situated in France and is still the highest mountain in The Alps.
