TV presenter and adventurer Ben Fogle is inviting people to join him on a short walk through the South Downs later this month.

Ben has been supporting the campaign to designate the South Downs a national park, and this walk will celebrate that success.

The walk is 5.5 miles long, starts at Amberley station, West Sussex, and will feature fantastic views of Amberley Wildbrooks and the Western Weald.

"I have many happy memories of walks in the South Downs and I am delighted that this area will now get the protection it deserves," says Ben.

"A South Downs National Park is long overdue and I should like to congratulate everyone who has worked over many years to secure this success."

The walk's free and is being organised by the Campaign for National Parks and the South Downs Society.

It takes place on Saturday, October 17th at 11am.
