A new wilderness has just opened to walkers, featuring unique works of art.

Four 12ft arches, made from red sandstone, have been created by artist Andy Goldsworthy and are dotted around the beautiful landscape of Cairnhead, in Dumfries and Galloway, south west Scotland.

Several routes have been created to help you explore this quiet region, many of which take you to some or all of Goldsworthy's arches.

You can check out some of the routes here.

Walkers are free to roam anywhere they like in the 1,347 hectares of land at Cairnhead owned by the Forestry Commission.
