The North Wales group of the Gay Outdoor Club stars in a radio show this afternoon on Radio 4. The club hosted Clare Balding for an episode of the popular Ramblings programme, with 20 walkers accompanying the star presenter on a spectacular Anglesey trail.

The Gay Outdoor Club (GOC) is an activity group for gay men and women, and has been running for over 30 years. Its 40 regional groups organise over 500 walks and climbs a year for the GOC’s 1,500 members. Pete Burling from the GOC hopes the group is an antidote to the gay clubbing scene and says it offers a non-threatening and supportive atmosphere to those taking the first steps in coming out.

To hear the show, tune in to Radio 4 at 3pm today (Thursday, February 25th) or listen again at www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006xrr2
