UK Puffin numbers are rapidly declining, but no-one knows why.

That's why tiny GPS devices are being glued to the colourful birds so their movements can be tracked.

The research will take place in the Farne Islands, off the coast of Northumberland, where the population here alone has fallen by almost 20,000 in the last five years.
