Summer camps in America are on the look-out for British outdoors enthusiasts to lead activities this summer.

Summer Camp USA says it has received lots of requests from its camps for outdoor pursuits counsellors who would spend nine weeks working with children between the ages of six and 16.

Anna Crew, Director of Summer Camp USA, says: "Camp Directors are especially keen to employ British adventure staff as they are really passionate about exploring the outdoors and have great hands-on experience which makes for an ideal leader."

The job would involve leading a range of adventures including canoe trips, scavenger hunts, bushcraft and nature classes.

BUNAC, which runs overseas work and travel programmes, is recruiting for these posts now.
