Comedian Ed Byrne on Munros, Wainwrights and why 'conquerors' are wrong...

He's best known as a stand-up comedian and panellist on 'Have I Got News for You?' and 'Mock the Week', but Ed Byrne is also a passionate walker, with 63 Munros under his belt.

Country Walking met up with him on the Langdale Pikes in the Lake District, to introduce him to 'the Wainwrights' - the Lakeland fells chronicled by Alfred Wainwright.

Here he is, talking about why 'baggers' get a bad rap, why no-one ever 'conquers' a mountain, and how he sneaked off from the Edinburgh Festival to bag a few tops in between shows...
