Chris Bonington talks of climbing companionship

In 50 years of mountaineering Sir Chris Bonington has developed a special climbing friendship.

Pertemba Sherpa has accompanied Sir Chris up many of the world's great mountains, most famously on the 1975 Everest South West Face Expedition.

And the two of them will give a lecture at the Brewery Arts Centre, in Kendal, talking about their friendship and their toughest expeditions.

The lecture will take place on Tuesday, February 16th, at 8pm. Tickets are £17.50 and funds go to the Sherpa Heritage House.
