Walkers tackling the stunning Ceredigion Coast Path will soon have the choice of their luggage being carried for them following the launch of a new Cab-a-bag service.

The scheme will see taxis forwarding walkers’ luggage to their next overnight stop along the 62 mile stretch of Welsh coastline, one of Britain’s most popular coastal walks which runs from the Dyfi National Nature Reserve, at Ynyslas, to the Teifi Estuary at Cardigan.

“Using the cab-a-bag scheme, people can actually walk the Ceredigion Coast Path without having to carry their rucksacks with them. They can travel light and enjoy the walking experience,” says Peter Austin, Ceredigion county council’s rural tourism officer.
