Anger as passenger flight ban over national parks rejected

The Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) is angry that the Department for Transport has decided not to limit the number of passenger planes flying over sensitive areas of land.

The campaign group and Various MPs had supported the idea saying passenger planes are particularly intrusive to the tranquility of national parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

But the government has rejected CPRE's research saying any such move would be impractical.
