Ok, why would I not recommend these boots? Having had the boots professionaly fitted to my feet, I was sure that my right foot was lifting at the heel. Got this axe for £60 from Joe Browns of North Wales. I bought the 74cm and was pleased to see it come with a leash. Nice rubber grip for comfort and a slight curve to the shaft makes this the best axe around for £60... Click here for full product review and star rating

I have used this system for several months now on various bad weather trips. First up was Snowdon in November last year where I was faced with winds gusting up to 75mph and constant rain. Just took this out for it's first winter scramble. Very impressed with the ammount of gear this sack will swallow. Takes all the usual kit, crampons, thick winter layers and a hydration pack easily.
