Go retro with 20s-style rucksack

A bigger retro mountaineering pack will be on sale this January from Swedish outdoor brand Fjallraven.

The Vintage 30 litre looks like an early 20th century alpine sack, complete with leather closure straps and square side pockets. It's an expanded version of the brand's successful 20 litre version.

Modern polyester and cotton mix fabric, ventilated back system, padded shoulder straps and strong YKK zips make it a suitable day sack for 21st century walking.

This reminds me, I have a original world war 2 commando rucksack not unlike this that I bought in a Army Surplus store about 10 years ago when I was in the TA. I will have to take it for a walk in the summer, if only for the craic :o)
