The return of the Berghaus Mera Peak jacket

This well-established outdoor brand have given their classic Mera Peak waterproof jacket a face lift re-vamped its features to ensure it lives up to it’s old reputation as an icon of the waterproof jacket world.

New fabric and hood
Coming to an outdoor shop near you this September, this £240 2-layer Gore-Tex Performance Shell 4-season jacket now features a new hood that can be folded away neatly in the collar without creating bulk around the neck. When out, the hood will also neatly flatten against the back.

Weighs 200g less
The new Mera Peak weighs a significant 205g less than the old 2 Layer GORE-TEX Taslan with a dry mesh and nylon lining version, at a robust 745g for a men’s size L. Other features include four external pockets (the two chest pockets use water resistant zips), one internal pocket, articulated arms and water resistant pit zips. The jacket’s main front zip is also water resistant and is backed by a unique internal double storm flap.

More jackets too!
Not content with one jacket, Berghaus will also launch two new Gore-Tex waterproofs this September. The 535g (Men’s size L) Pro Shell Yala Peak has the same features as the Mera Peak and costs £260. The 395g (Men’s size L) Paclite Paldor Peak costs £180 and is a lightweight version with three pockets and stuff sack.
