Alfred Wainwright - author of the famous Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells - rarely made public appearances.
But during the 1980s he recorded TV programmes with the now chairman of the Wainwright Society, Eric Robson.
Here we have two clips from these programmes.
The first features a sad AW walking round the closed slate mine at Honister.
The second shows Wainwright on one of his favourite Lakeland fells - Haystacks - where he chose to have his ashes scattered when he died.
