‘Kinder Scout’ is a neat little film of a famous walk. Particularly liked the shots showing the waterfall’s famous trick of “going uphill” due to drafty conditions in the gully, the moonscape moor and the hard Northern sheep doing a 100’ VDiff to reach a tuft of grass.
This is a great player to watch individual videos through.
A new shorter edit this week from Dr Cheese’s of ‘Great Gable’. Much tighter than the long version (also here).
This is a great player to watch individual videos through.
‘A Walk in the Yorkshire Dales’ is really enjoyable (but it is a bunch of cleverly strung together stills in a video competition).
This is a great player to watch individual videos through.
‘A Lake District Bothy’ (by Terrybnd again) is a brilliant, moody, well-edited piece of work. Well worth a close look to see how to make simple scenes come over as magnificent. Has to be this week’s winner.
This is a great player to watch individual videos through.
Weekly reviews are delivered by Steve Buckley, Head of Film and Video (and keen walker and climber) at Bauer Consumer Media, parent company of LFTO.
