Often regarded as Slieve Donard's little sister, Slieve Commedagh is Northern Ireland's second highest mountain. Good views from the summit in all directions, but likely to be windy. The Mourne Wall passes close to the summit. The most popular approach is from the Glen River, but other options include the Bloody Bridge River or the by following the Mourne Wall from Hare's Gap.

The only heathery approach is from Shan Slieve,as far as I know. From the saddle between Donard & Commedagh -turn NW from the stile on the saddle and follow the Mourne Wall up. Good combined with a walk up Donard first, from the Bloody Bridge path. OR walk Trassey Track to Hare's Gap, along the Wall over Slievenaglogh and Corragh to Commedagh, for glorious views over the reservoirs.
