Facility information

A sharp pointed conical peak with steep convex summit slopes. This Munro, coupled with the nearby Stuc a'Chroin, is a winter classic that will inspire you to keep coming back for more thrills. Both are readily accessible peaks and are best traversed from Edinample (although now the washed-out road bridge has finally been repaired, an approach from Ardvorlich is just as easy), with good access paths and an easy circular route readily presenting itself. The day is a great adventure even for the relative newcomer, and stunning views of the Central Lowlands and Highlands provide plenty of photo opportunities.

straightforward Munro, easy way up, and a short hop to Stuc a'Chroin (if you're up for the scramble!). Met a few people who had to return to their cars to be reunited with their crampons as you couldn't see the ice from the Loch side! Some made it up without crampons on the day we went, but I wouldn't fancy it..
