A real beauty, worth the walk-in, and easily accessible form the central belt of Scotland. It's profle as you advance up the Connonish IS Alpine, with a horn-rimmed corrie (see, I wasnt being dirty ;) ) giving it archetypal mountain morphology. Either ridge surrounding the corrie gives a good ascent, both becoming more serious, if not graded, in Winter conditions, but neither should be taken lightly in ANY conditions. A reasonable head for heights might help. The Coire's centrepiece in Winter is the Centre Gully, Grade I, impressive, not too steep, but quite open and airy, the climb rewarded when you popo out right near the summit of Ben Lui itself. Can be linked to other nearby munros for a mighty round, travelling from either Dalrigh/Tyndrum to Glen Lochy or vice-versa.
