The most easterly Munro might not be the most exciting Munro but it is a great way to start bagging. You can do the short route along Glen Mark and up past the Queens Well or the long route in from Glentanar. Having done both I really enjoyed biking in from Glentanar which leaves you a short walk up to the summit. I did this with a friend and his 10 year old son, Matt. Young Matt bagged his first Munro without too much bother, and really enjoyed the free wheel back to the car, and so did the oldies !!

Only ever came in from the Angus approach, long walk in to Glenmark & Queens Well need to cross some water that can run quite high at times then a steady uphill to the base of Mount Keen There is a small sandy path up to the summit and some rock steps closer to the top. Can see quite a distance from the top - Lochnagar, Bennachie, Clachnaben. Its the closest to Aberdeen and an easy one to grab.
