From the various routes to Knott, Roughton Gill is one of our favourites. Passing by old mine works, making your way up along the Gill, the waterfalls and steep gullies are wonderful. when we went in Feb 08,many of the falls were still iced up. The pull up from the top of the Gill across to Knott was worth it.
