Good walking can be had round the Stiperstones though it can get a little busy by the stones themselves. There is a nice farm nearby that has Highland Cooows. The story behind the stones is an interesting one with the Devil himself visiting once a year!! A good place to finish is the Horseshoe Inn. Proper pub with good ales, wood burning stove and locally produced produce on the menu's. A fitting end to a day out walking...if the wife's driving that is!!

They say variety is the spice of life, and this is true of the Stiperstones. Not as dramatic as some of the hills across the border in Wales, but still a lovely little hill in its own right. There are some really interesting rock outcrops on top which are a lot of fun to scramble about on, and generally the rolling countryside in the area is lovely. A place well worth a visit as an alternative for those wanting a change from bigger peaks in the honeypot walking sites around the country.
