everyone's gotta start somewhere! this was my first 'proper' mountain, (well, everything's much bigger when you're 9...) and although it's a short slog up from the church in martindale, once on the top you get a real sense of being up high, Ullswater below you, bigger hills behind you. A good first hill for anyone, but especially for younger adventurers.
