overall not a bad route up and around, there are options for other routes up, with a variety of scrabbles or nice walk up depeding upon the route you chose, views are quite good, looking in a westerly direction, these are help by the fact that cnicht appears to be by its self due to the large drops a good overall day

for great day out walking over 3 peaks I would recomend walking up Cnicht from Croesor and then go up Moelwyn mawr and Moelwyn Bach.It should take about 5 hours and the views a great on a clear day.

This isn't a long walk but be careful if you are an infrequent walker. Towards the top, it is a very hard slog. Well worth it when you get there, great views in particular, looking towards the Porthmadog and the coast.

... is Cnicht's nickname (Cnichtname?). Once you realise it's shapely profile is but a cunning optical illusion, this joke wears thin quite fast. Personally, I was a little disappointed, but then the weather was truly awful that day. The eerie mine workings are definitely worth a visit though - Wales meets the Wild West.

I climbed this last summer with my two lads 10 and 8 years old,we had a fantastic day,the sharp pointy spire to aim for and those green steep hills all round you when you got down in the valley,that is somthing i will never forgetI hope to return one day.
