The rocky eastern shoulder of Y Lliwedd. Great views and an interesting descent into Cwm Llan.

Most people don't do Gallt y Wenallt, they have done the horseshow and miss this top out or are so intent on getting up Snowdon on the Watkin path. There are 3 routes that I have used to either go up or down this mountain, most are not very well troden paths; the first comes off from the Watkin Path, just above the waterfall cross the bridge and follow the track up to an old mine working, then there is not really a path; or up from the Miner's track, when you reach the ridge turn left to get to the top, or up from the power station - this follows the waterfall and is very steep. The views from the summit are great on a good day Snowdon,Lliwedd, Siabod, Cnicht, Yr Aran to name but a few. Added interest are the Welsh black cattle that are sometimes in this area which are being put on the mountains by the National Trust.
