There are a lot of gloves around the £25 to £30 price range, but the Trekmates Dry Classic Glove has a slight edge over some of them. It benefits from a waterproof lining and a good fit, which makes it reasonably dexterous. The palm is also a little more grippy than some, thanks to a textured finish. When you put the glove on there is elastication around the wrist to hold it in place as well as a cuff drawcord to keep snow and debris from entering the glove, but some gloves at this price lack this extra closure, and that is one reason why I like the glove. The cuff is small and neat enough to fit inside a jacket sleeve, it is only just about big enough to go over a sleeve. Also this glove is not as well-insulated as other options featured here, so you may find yourself needing something else for really cold winter days on the tops. It also lacks some of the features of other gloves like a nose wipe and wrist leash, and the durability of higher-priced models. This makes the Trekmates Dry Classic Glove very much a walker’s glove for less challenging conditions.
