This is a shell without a warm lining, which means you can combine it with other liner mitts or gloves easily. It is made from Gore-Tex XCR, which is rated as extremely breathable and extremely waterproof so you won’t get better performance from anything else. The wrist ladder lock webbing strap means you get a close fit while the cuff drawcord keeps water and snow at bay. The palm is reinforced with PU too. If you want to add a dedicated liner mitt then you can get the Extremities Fleece Mitt for an extra £10, but I would probably choose to combine this with an Extremities fleece glove instead for the added dexterity such a combination provides. But you are only getting a shell without insulation, so while it is useful on its own for most of the year, you will need to combine it with gloves or mitts in winter. There is no security wrist cord, which is a drawback particularly as these are otherwise ideal for whipping on and off and using with a liner glove.
