This is a light and compact jacket, but its minimalist design comes at a price in terms of both cash and performance. It is restricted to a single pocket, which is too small for a map, and the hood is quite shallow, although it adjusts well and has a wired peak. There’s no venting anywhere, which makes it hot, and this isn’t helped by elasticated cuffs that are too tight to pull up. It does keep rain out, and breathes reasonably well considering the lack of venting. Better suited to cycling.
