These waterproof trousers from Technicals use a nice unlined fabric which, although very light, isn’t at all crinkly. The cut of the legs is spot on – enough room to move in without being too baggy. Perfect at the waist, too. Light to carry and don’t take up much room in the rucksack, either. The ankle zips are very short, though, making them a bit of a pain to pull on over boots.
