The Sprayway Anakin/Arista is a stunning jacket due to the price (it is the lowest-priced Gore-Tex Pro Shell jacket available here). Gore-Tex Pro Shell controls condensation far better than Gore Paclite, which means at this price this jacket competes strongly against similarly priced Gore Paclite options. There are two large zipped pockets that swallow maps. The hood also has a wired peak, and it fits well and moves well with the head. There is a full-length front zip and Velcro adjustment cuffs, plus a hem drawcord. That is about it but the price is what really sets this jacket apart from the competition, because at £160 this represents very good value for money. But the Sprayway Anakin/Arista’s two large pocket are not placed very high up on the chest, and access is slightly obscured when wearing rucksack belts so it is not perfect in this department. The front zip does not get an external stormflap, which is the case with many others here. Other jackets have extra features like a third chest pocket or a slightly better hood (the peak is a little small on this one).

Verdict
The Sprayway Anakin/Arista is an excellent-value Pro Shell jacket, but some features are not the absolute best.
