The Torres’ are made from an insulated fabric that repels water rather than providing a hard barrier against it; and whilst this is waterproof, very breathable and extremely comfortable, it is sadly too warm for all-day wear (even with nothing beneath it), and also a little heavy and bulky for year-round emergency use. They have a unique belt and drop-front arrangement which proved fiddly to do up and uncomfortable if not positioned exactly right. And they also let some water in through the pocket access slots.
