These waterproof overtrousers weigh 242g; close-fitting; stretch fabric; 45cm side zips make getting them on easy; zipped pocket; elasticated waist with drawcord; elasticated ankle cuff. But close fit at ankle may mean gaiter will be needed to keep rain out of boots; close fit may not suit the less athletic walker; best worn next to skin or over close-fitting undergarments rather than over walking trousers.

Verdict: Best here for running and adventure racing, but walkers will prefer more traditional overtrousers

I carry these all year round, fantastic pants. The MVTR (breathability) is poorer than GTX, eVent and even EntrantDT, but the comfort and freedom of movement more than makes up for it.

Recommended. Unless you're a fat knacker.
