This is a substantial jacket, but it comes at a good price and performs well enough to justify a few extra grammes. The main zip is chunky and tough, with a bomb-proof storm flap, and the hem is relatively long and easily adjustable with drawcords. It comes with excellent pit-zips, Velcro cuffs, and the hip pockets are well-placed and a good size. The fabric feels good and kept out awful rain. Breathability isn’t bad either. It’s let down by a shallow hood with a floppy peak.
