A scooped hem stops it riding up when at full stretch, while Velcro adjustable cuffs are excellent. The eVENT fabric felt comfortable and proved relatively rustle-free and the hood was huge, although adjusted by Velcro not drawcords. Spot-on in every department. Light and easy to carry when not required, yet comfortable and completely bomb-proof when the heavens open. And the eVENT fabric is incredibly breathable, no matter how hard you work. The pockets are well-placed, can double as vents and will also hold a map. And the hood is pretty much perfect, with a superb wired peak.

Verdict
A highly breathable, well-vented waterproof that’s light and easy to carry, yet can handle the worst mountain weather. A little dearer than most but will earn its keep.

At rrp it's expensive for what it is. Think the new Halo replaces this one now. However I got it a reasonable price on sale and for a 3-season waterproof where it's mostly in the pack it does the job. Not up to the job of Scottish Winter munros (or torrential Autumns) though so I need something a bit more substantial..

Re: Montane Quick-Fire

I was prepared to dissapointed - a flimsy bit of crisp packet for over £120.....

However it's proved very useful in the mostly mild wet weather - weighs nothing but is completely waterproof.
