Lovely and snug with soft, rustle-free fabric and fleece-lined collar. Has a wonderfully deep hood, too, but it was really hard to do up properly. An attractive jacket which will keep you totally dry. However, the hood was much too fiddly to do up securely in the wind, and it comes with features for skiing, which many won’t need.

Verdict: A stylish walking/skiing jacket that will do a job, but there are better options out there for the money. Also watch out for that exasperating hood!
