The Omegas are quite heavy due to a mesh lining, but this aids breathability, adds a bit of insulation, and even makes them comfortable enough to wear against the skin. The waistband is elastic with a drawcord, and they come in three leg lengths. The three-quarter length leg-zips make them easy to slip on over your boots. And the zips are protected by a Velcro-secured storm flap. The fabric breathes well, is exceptionally tough, and doesn’t rustle too much, making them comfortable enough to wear all day if you need to. On the downside, their weight and bulk means they’re not the most suitable choice for emergency use only. Overall, an excellent price for a top-quality product.
