Snugpak Sleeka Jacket

£80.00

LFTO rating rating is 3
Owners' rating rating is 3.5

This insulated jacket has a drawstring adjustment for the hem and the collar; one internal and two external pockets all with zips; good-sized stormflaps over the pockets; packs into its own stuffsack; manufactured in the UK; really warm. But it’s bulky when packed and heavy at 596g; add the unisex cut and basic functional design, and you get a pretty ‘frumpy’ wearer experience.

Tog rating 3.4

Buy it if the fit suits you and you like British-made products at a good price.

I bought one of these years ago, to replace my buffalo. I was very suspicious, as to me it looked like cheap rubbish. But despite being basic, with no frill, it really is warm. The coldest ive used it to was -28, and as its synthetic it still works when wet. The builod quality isnt brilliant, but for its price, you get a warm bit of kit. I found the best way to stash it is not in the stuffsack, just loose, as it then seeps into all the nooks and crannies in your bergen. Ive had to stitch it up a few times, but i would reccommend it. One warning - my mate wore his, standing next to someone who smoked, and it went up like a roman candle! Be warned!
