This soft shell weighs 574g; exceptionally breathable fabric; micro wicking lining adds comfort and insulation; good water repellency; rollaway hood; excellent sleeve movement; map-sized chest pocket; elasticated and Velcro cuffs. But waist pocket easily obstructed; not as durable or water-resistant as others; no stretch.

Verdict: Buy it if you want a mid layer that is more windproof than a fleece, rather than a water-resistant and durable soft shell

Bought it for £60 from Rockbottom. Particularly good on those days when the dubious effects of global warming send icy winds to blow you off ridges. Might be too warm for the summer but I haven't stored it with my winter kit yet!

it is one of the best bits of gear I own. Its warm, and very wind resistant, but breathes fantastically. Water repellency is ok, but when raining properly I pull a shell on, usually a Rab Drillium, as the event keeps breathability. It is a bit warm though for summer.

I've had mine with the hood for 5 years and I love it!! For winter only though, too hot for summer. Too hot for ascending in winter too! But I've worn it with a waterproof in some horrendous weather and been as warm as toast. Superb bit of kit.
