It’s not often that an article of clothing ticks all the boxes, but this does. The excellent fabric provides a decent amount of insulation and is also incredibly weather-resistant and very breathable. It has two huge hip/chest pockets that double as vents and the cuffs are fastened with Velcro. Single-handed drawcords adjust the hem, trapping or releasing warmth, and another does the same job on the high collar, keeping it very snug. The pockets are big enough for a map – great when wearing it as an outer-layer – and despite a lot of wear in awful conditions and in very harsh terrain, the test sample still looks as good as new – a real bonus.

To save repetition please see my comments to the official review. Suffice to say this is comfortable, durable, very breathable and weather resistant.
