Páramo Torres Smock

£100.00

LFTO rating rating is 3
Owners' rating rating is 4.5

This duvet jacket has a generous body size, designed to be worn over another jacket; synthetic insulation; tunnel waist pocket; fixed hood; XS-XXL size range; medium level of insulation is ideal for UK; map-sized chest pocket; very durable fabric. But 838g is a bit heavy; sleeves tended to ride up a little; some may prefer a jacket to a smock.

Verdict: Buy it if you want a very functional insulation layer that is ideal for whipping on over your waterproof.

I picked one of these up at the Outdoor show oin Birmingham last year. then went on and climbed up a rather cold and snowbound Snowdon. Kept me very snug and warm. Don't have to worry about it getting damp. In my experience it is very breathable and doesn't get wet. My first bit of Paramo kit - got it for £60 on the Paramo stand at the outdoor show. Have also used it instead of a Ski jacket in the states at very low temperatures. Yes, it is a bit heavy and could pack down smaller but the waterproof protection and warmth that it offers more than makes up for this, and I would recommend this even if like me you don't use a paramo jacket.
