Haglöfs Barrier Hood

£95.00

LFTO rating rating is 2

This duvet jacket uses Dupont Thermolight insulation; massive chest pockets; fixed hood; packs into pocket; very comfy Powerstretch cuffs; excellent arm movement; ideal as back-up warm layer in spring to autumn. But hood cannot be rolled down or removed; not as warm as others.

Verdict: Buy it if you want a very functional warm layer for use as a back-up in moderately cold weather.

One, maybe two words - absolutly fantastic. This is a great jacket. I have used it since about January of this year and seen as i'm studying in the North of the country it has been worn alot. I can only really reiterate what PTC has already said (see comments). The adjustable hood is really easy to use and a perfect fit whilst the height of the zip and the popper at the top allow a snug fit around the face in cold weather. For the price it is one of the best around.

This is a killer bit of kit. It's cut perfectly for over midlayers or over a shell, including over the hood where you can zip it right up to your chin without garotting yourself.

The DWR on the fabric is outstanding, the features as mention in the piece at the top are fantastic. The slim shape makes it ideal for sleeping in as part of your cold weather camp kit.

Other fills are maybe warmer, and indeed other jackets are lighter but the features of this make it my first choice for wet cold hill days.
