Classically designed trousers made from a polycotton fabric with a soft outer finish. The waist is semi-elasticated and comes with a belt so you can fine-tune things if needed. The fabric feels reassuringly tough, although there’s no stretch in it, so they’re less comfortable to walk in than some. They’ve got some nice features, though, including drawcords at the ankles to provide a snug fit around your boots (useful in wet or windy weather), and reinforced panels on the seat and knee to protect against wear and tear. The two map-sized cargo pockets are really useful and they have a good water-repellent finish so they don’t wet-out quickly in the rain. Well-suited to year-round walking in the UK.
