A great pair of trousers for the walker looking for something a bit more technical, without looking overly technical. Stretchy fabric works really well at boosting comfort levels and there is enough wind resistance in them to keep out hilltop breezes, or at least reduce their impact. That wind-blocking also helps them to work effectively over a range of temperatures too, even though they feel lightweight. Extra sun protection and insect-repellent treatment are useful additions that boost their summer usefulness too. Although satisfying when on, with a form that stretches as you move, in a wetting test the fabric wasn’t quite as quick-drying as anticipated.
