Odd sizing makes these trousers quite big for the stated waist measurement, and the legs are incredibly baggy, too. The fabric feels good – albeit a bit on the lightweight side for year-round walking. The fact they are convertible makes them better for walking in milder conditions, although they do repel water well and dry quickly. There’s a good selection of pockets, including one on the knee to store the zip-off section, but the cargo pockets could do with being deeper and wider at the zip.
