Regatta are a good source of well priced and functional outdoor gear. The Geo Mountain Pant are a standard walking pant in a similar design to trousers produced by other companies. The fabric is thinner than my similar styled Lowe Alpine Mettle Pant so I would only use the Geo in warm conditions unless I intended to wear waterproof trouers over the top. They are comfortable to wear due to the softness of the material although I haven’t used them long enough yet to see how durable they are.
The cut is comfortable and non-restrictive on the hill and I’ve also found them suitable for climbing. The front pockets are too shallow to safely put anything in them (including hands!) but a small zipped pocket is also provided. The ankle drawcord is badly designed, when pulled tight the cord pokes out of the side and could cause a snagging risk.
They are ideal for summer walkers on a budget or those setting out into the hills for the first time. They lack the features, styling and durablity of more expensive makes but their price makes them fantastic value
